2010 Black Tie Gala
Four hundred guests celebrated the fifth anniversary of The Russell and Angelica Berrie Center for Humanistic Care and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s commitment to humanism on May 8, 2010 at the Medical Center’s annual Black Tie Gala.
More than $500,000 was raised. “It is the caring nature of people such as our Gala supporters who make the success of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center possible,” said Douglas A. Duchak, president and CEO of the Medical Center. “On behalf of the Medical Center’s extended family, especially our patients, I thank them all.”
The intriguing Pier 60 in New York City set the tone for a wonderful evening. Guests enjoyed a concert emceed by popular commentator and broadcaster Steve Adubato. Sweet Georgia Brown, the “Last of the Red Hot Mamas,” and The Blues Crusaders and Davell Crawford, “The Piano Prince of New Orleans,” headlined the bill.
